Our story
About Us – Apogee Upholstery
A family-owned upholstery shop in Venice, Florida, built on one idea: every journey should be comfortable, whether you are on the water, the road or in the air.
Craftsmanship at its apex
Built in Venice, for Florida
At Apogee Upholstery, we believe quality craftsmanship enhances every journey. Our shop at 420 E Venice Ave, Venice, FL 34285 restores and custom-builds seating, covers and interiors for boats, cars, trucks, RVs, golf carts and small aircraft for customers across Sarasota and Charlotte counties.
We started with marine work because that is what the Gulf Coast needs most. Sun, salt and humidity destroy vinyl, foam and canvas faster here than almost anywhere, and we learned early which materials survive and which do not. Today every seat we build goes out on closed-cell marine foam, sewn with UV-resistant thread in marine-grade vinyl, and every cover is patterned on the boat itself.
Over time our customers brought us their trucks, classic cars, campers, golf carts and airplanes, and the same approach applied: honest advice, the right materials for the job and a fit that looks factory-made. In 2024, Venice Gondolier readers voted us the Best Upholstery Service in Venice.

How we work
What You Can Expect From Us
Unmatched craftsmanship
Patterns taken from your boat or vehicle, boxed corners, aligned seams and hardware checked before anything is installed.
Custom solutions
Two-tone combinations, diamond stitching, embroidery and material choices that match how you actually use the boat, car or RV.
Florida expertise
Marine vinyl, Sunbrella, closed-cell foam and UV-rated thread, chosen because they last in heat, salt and humidity.
Honest advice
We tell you when a repair is enough and when the foam has to go. Written quotes before work begins.
Fast turnaround
Seat jobs in days, full interiors in one to two weeks, and clear timelines so you can plan your next trip.
Local and accountable
A family-owned shop on E Venice Ave with trailer parking and a fenced lot. You talk to the people doing the work.
