RV & Camper Upholstery – Dinettes, Seats, Sofas & Mattresses in Venice, FL
We proudly serve Venice, FL and the surrounding area, including Nokomis, Osprey, Englewood, North Port, Port Charlotte, Rotonda West, Boca Grande, Punta Gorda, Sarasota and beyond.
Why RV Upholstery Fails Faster in Florida
Apogee Upholstery rebuilds RV and camper interiors at our shop in Venice, FL for owners across Sarasota and Charlotte counties. Dinette booths, captain's chairs, jackknife sofas, bunk mattresses, wall panels and valances get the same treatment as our marine work: new foam, patterns taken from your originals, and fabrics chosen for a coach that lives in Florida humidity.
A lot of RV owners around Venice are seasonal and need the coach ready before they head north. We schedule around travel dates, work from removed cushions if you would rather not bring the rig, and have trailer parking and a fenced lot when you do. Owners come to us from Nokomis, Englewood, North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda and Sarasota.
Humidity and mildew
A closed-up RV in a Florida summer is a humid box. Open-cell foam soaks up moisture, cushions turn musty and mildew shows through. We use foam, fabrics and mesh bottoms that resist it.
Sun through the windows
Dinette and sofa fabric facing a window fades and weakens on one side first. Solution-dyed fabric and UV-stable vinyl keep the color even.
Factory foam goes flat
RV builders use light foam to save weight. After a few seasons the dinette bottoms out and the mattress sags. Better foam fixes that without adding much weight.
Odd shapes, exact fit
Cut-corner mattresses, curved dinette backs and slide-out sofas are not catalog sizes. Every piece is patterned from your original so it fits the cabinetry.

Our RV & Camper Upholstery Services

RV Dinette Booths & Cushions
The dinette is the most used seat in an RV and the first to go flat. We rebuild bottoms and backs on new high-density foam, re-cover them in fabric or vinyl and keep the fold-down bed working.
- Seat and back cushions patterned from the originals
- High-density foam that holds up as a bed
- Fabric, vinyl or two-tone combinations

Captain's & Passenger Seats
Motorhome driver and passenger chairs wear at the bolsters, armrests and the outer edge where you slide in and out. We re-cover them in automotive-grade leather, vinyl or fabric, rebuild the foam and replace cracked armrest pads.
- Driver and passenger chair reupholstery
- Armrest pads rebuilt and re-covered
- Leather, premium vinyl or fabric to match the cab

Sofas, Jackknife Beds & Recliners
Jackknife beds and hide-a-beds fold, so the cover takes stress at every hinge line. We pattern the cover to move with the mechanism, rebuild the foam so it sleeps as well as it sits, and re-cover recliners to match.
- Jackknife and hide-a-bed sofas
- Recliners and swivel chairs
- Foam that works as a seat and a bed

Bunk & Camper Mattresses
RV mattresses are rarely a standard size. We cut foam to cut-corner, radius and short-queen shapes in the firmness you want and sew a removable cover with a breathable bottom so moisture does not get trapped against the platform.
- Cut-corner, radius and short-queen shapes
- Custom foam firmness and thickness
- Removable, washable covers with mesh bottoms

Wall Panels, Valances & Headliners
Padded wall panels, window valances and a sagging headliner date an interior faster than any seat. We re-cover panels and valances to match the new seating and replace headliner material that has let go in the heat.
- Padded wall and slide-out panels
- Window valances and cornices
- Headliner repair and replacement

Exterior Cushions & Slide-Out Fabric
Awning-side lounge cushions, exterior bench pads and slide-out topper fabric live in the sun. We build them in marine vinyl or solution-dyed acrylic on closed-cell foam, the same materials we use on boats.
- Outdoor lounge and bench cushions
- Slide-out topper fabric replacement
- Marine vinyl and solution-dyed acrylic fabrics

Materials We Use
- High-density and HR foam
- High-density foam for dinettes and sofas, high-resilience foam for mattresses, both chosen to hold their shape without adding weight.
- Mildew-resistant vinyl and performance fabrics
- Marine vinyl with mildew-resistant backing and solution-dyed performance fabrics that handle humidity, sun and daily cleaning.
- Breathable mesh bottoms
- Mesh or spacer fabric under mattresses and cushions lets moisture escape instead of condensing against the platform.
- Stainless and plastic hardware
- Zippers, snaps and fasteners that do not corrode in a damp coach.
Our Process
- 1
Photos and a quote
Send photos of each piece through the contact page or bring the RV by. We quote by item so you can decide what to do before you travel and what can wait.
- 2
Bring the rig or the cushions
Dinette cushions, mattresses and sofa cushions come out in minutes. Bring them to the shop, or park the RV in our fenced lot if seats and panels need to come out here.
- 3
Patterns and foam
Every cushion is patterned from the original. Old foam comes out and new high-density or high-resilience foam is cut to the same profile, or thicker if you ask.
- 4
Fabric selection
Performance fabrics, vinyls and leathers, with samples in the shop you can hold up against your cabinetry.
- 5
Sewing, fit and pickup
Covers are sewn with bonded thread, zippers and mesh bottoms go where they belong, and everything is fitted before pickup.

RV & Camper Upholstery FAQ
Can you finish my RV before I head north for the summer?
Usually, if you call ahead. Tell us your travel date with your quote request and we will give you an honest answer. The earlier you send photos, the easier it is to schedule around your departure.
Do I bring the whole RV or just the cushions?
Either. Dinette cushions, mattresses and most sofa cushions lift out and fit in a car. Captain's chairs, wall panels and jackknife sofas usually mean bringing the coach; there is trailer parking and a fenced lot at the shop for that.
Can you make a custom mattress for an odd-shaped bunk?
Yes. We cut foam to cut-corner, radius, short-queen and bunk shapes from your measurements or a template, in the firmness you choose, with a removable, breathable-bottom cover.
What fabrics hold up to Florida humidity in an RV?
Solution-dyed performance fabrics, marine vinyl with mildew-resistant backing and quality automotive leather all do well. Thin cotton-backed fabric over open-cell foam is what grows mildew. We will show you samples that suit how you use the coach.
How long does RV upholstery take?
Dinette cushions or a mattress usually take a few days once materials are in. A full interior with seats, sofa and panels typically takes one to two weeks. You get a timeline with the quote.
Do you serve RV parks in North Port, Englewood and Port Charlotte?
