Why Small Airplane Upholstery Matters
A small aircraft's interior is more than looks. It affects comfort on long legs, the resale value of the airplane and, with the right materials, compliance with aviation flammability standards. Apogee Upholstery reupholsters seats, side panels, headliners and carpets for general aviation aircraft from our shop in Venice, FL, minutes from Venice Municipal Airport.
We work with pilots and owners of Cessna, Piper, Cirrus, Beechcraft, Mooney and similar aircraft, using flame-retardant materials sourced from aerospace suppliers, with documentation available for your records and inspections.
Comfort and safety
Sculpted foam and supportive seating reduce fatigue on long flights for pilot and passengers.
Durability
Materials that resist stains, UV through the windows and daily wear, with easy maintenance.
Professional look
A clean, updated cabin improves the impression your aircraft makes and adds value when you sell.
Compliance
Fabrics, foams and adhesives that meet FAR 25.853 flammability requirements, with paperwork for your logbook.

Small Airplane Upholstery FAQ
Are your aircraft upholstery materials FAA-compliant?
We use fabrics, foams and adhesives that meet FAR 25.853 flammability standards and can provide certification documents for your records. Installation and sign-off remain the responsibility of your licensed mechanic.
Do I need to bring the whole airplane?
No. Most owners remove the seats and panels (or have their A&P do it) and bring them to our shop in Venice. We can also discuss on-site consultations for local airports.
How long does an aircraft interior take?
A set of seats is typically one to two weeks once materials arrive. Full interiors with side panels and headliners take longer; we schedule to minimize your downtime.
Can you match the original factory interior?
Yes, or update it. Many owners choose a modern two-tone leather with contrast stitching while keeping the original seat contours.
