Assessing the Original Interior

Before beginning the restoration, our team conducted a detailed inspection of the seat structure, upholstery materials, dashboard, door panels, and flooring. The truck’s original upholstery was heavily worn, cracked, and faded, which is common in vehicles of this era.

We also noted areas of foam degradation, broken springs, and weakened fabric, all of which required specialized attention to bring the truck back to showroom condition.

Seat Reupholstery – Vintage Meets Comfort

One of the most critical aspects of this restoration was rebuilding the seats while ensuring they maintained their authentic, vintage appeal.

🔹 Seat Frame Repair & Padding: We reinforced the frame and installed high-density foam padding for better support. The original padding had deteriorated, so we carefully recreated the contours for a period-correct look.

🔹 Premium Leather Upholstery: To match the truck’s classic red exterior, we selected top-grain leather in a rich brown shade with contrast stitching.

🔹 Hand-Stitched Details: Every stitch was meticulously crafted to recreate the original upholstery pattern, ensuring historical accuracy.

🔹 Custom Embossing: To add a unique touch, we embossed the Chevrolet logo onto the headrests, blending authenticity with customization.
